CASE STUDY: BORDER SECURITY SEMINAR FOR U.S. DEPARTMENT OF STATE

THE STATE DEPARTMENT APPROACHED METRIS WITH AN IDENTIFIED CAPABILITY GAP AND SPECIFIC EXPECTATIONS ON THE CRITERIA NEEDED TO CLOSE IT.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection Sectors

Dignitaries from five North African countries needed personal exposure to U.S. Customs and Border Protection sites and practices to evolve their operations. A Metris team with vast Immigration and Border Security expertise aligned and employed Instructional Systems Design (ISD) principles to develop a plan featuring multiple interventions, including a seminar, site visits, and other instructional support, along with diplomatic teaming opportunities. The combined efforts of the Metris team demonstrated our ability to tackle complex projects within set timelines and deliver comprehensive solution sets that meet, and often exceed, our clients’ expectations. The plan was quickly approved and is set for deployment in FY24 and FY25.
